On February 3, Amber Lowe presented a paper titled “Apprehending the (Afro)Future: Religion and Time in Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower” at the International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature, and Culture’s annual conference at Arizona State University. The theme of this year’s conference was After Earth? Religion and Technology on a Changing Planet. Amber's panel included Andrea Jain of JAAR and fellow graduate student Jacob Boss.
